2nd Annual Cuts for Cancer!
Columbia, SC: July 16th-July 17th, 2006- Children’s Chance is teaming up with Kenneth Shuler’s School of Cosmetology once again to hold the 2nd Annual Cuts for Cancer! Kenneth Shuler School of Cosmetology located at 449 St. Andrews Road will open its doors on Sunday, July 16th from 1:30-5:00 pm and Monday, July 17th from 10:00am-5:00pm to give $5.00 hair cuts or a variety of other services all to help children battling cancer in South Carolina!
Samantha Higgins, Public Relations Director of Children’s Chance states, “We are so excited to hold the 2nd Annual Cuts for Cancer, to help raise money and awareness for children battling cancer and their families throughout the state of South Carolina! We appreciate the school’s contribution to our organization, and encourage people to come out and take advantage of such a great event. Everyone needs haircuts especially kids going back to school. Just $5.00 can get you a hair cut and bring hope to a family!”
Kenneth Shuler School of Cosmetology will offer a variety of services on a walk in only basis for just $5.00 including haircuts, bang trims, mini manicures, mini pedicures, shampoo/blow dry style, etc, while donating all of the proceeds from the two day blitz to Children’s Chance to help fund programs and services for South Carolina children fighting cancer and their families throughout the state of South Carolina.
Founded in 1996, Children’s Chance is the only statewide non profit organization that is dedicated to providing children facing cancer and their families with non-medical financial, emotional, and, psychological support. Proceeds from “Cuts for Cancer” will fund a variety of programs including art therapy, counseling programs, teen support groups, Discretionary funds which help families pay non medical bills such as mortgage or electric payments, and Angel Funds which provide families with small out of pocket expenses to make their trips to the clinic a little easier, such as gas or food cards.
