Kids with Cancer Hit the New Year off with a Bang at Mr. Friendly’s
Columbia, SC: Saturday, January 8th- On Saturday, January 5th at 11:30 am, Children’s Chance teamed up with Mr. Friendly’s restaurant for a “Hit the Holidays off with a Bang” event for SC children with cancer. Mr. Friendly’s restaurant located at 2001-A Greene Street in 5 Points opened their doors this past Saturday to allow SC children with cancer to come into their new wine bar location (which is next door to the restaurant at 2001-C Greene Street) and knock out walls to help them ready the location for opening in the near future. Kids with cancer and their families joined Children’s Chance and took some big swings at the walls all for a great cause.
Mr. Friendly’s has been hosting a fundraiser since before Christmas allowing the public to pay $5.00 to knock down walls, while donating all of the proceeds to Children’s Chance to help SC children battling cancer and their families. The event will go on until all walls are knocked down and takes place Wednesday-Friday anytime between 11:30 am and 2:30 pm at their new wine bar location at 2001-C Greene Street.
Mr. Friendly’s New Southern Café serves New Southern Cuisine in a sophisticated yet casual environment using only the freshest ingredients and simple preparations. There are many daily specials that change according to the best ingredients, always including ocean fresh fish and seafood, as well as innovative meat, poultry, and wild game dishes. Mr. Friendly’s offers an extensive wine list as well as a wide variety of micro-brew beer. With a concept of great food, great service, and great wine, you can dress up or dress down at this great neighborhood true American Bistro with local southern flair.
