First Ever: Fight the War on Kids Cancer, Charity Paintball Tournament

To benefit Children’s Chance and help SC kids with cancer!

November 18, 2007 – Columbia, SC:  The first ever “Fight the War on Kids Cancer” Charity Paintball Tournament sponsored by TriggerTyme Paintball, Carolina Ale House, and Palmetto Automatic Sprinkler to benefit Children’s Chance will be held on Sunday, November 18, 2007 at TriggerTyme Paintball located at 429 Koon Store Road in Columbia.  Registration begins at 8:30 am, with the start at 9:00 am. Participants may register in advance by calling 803-254-5996 or register on site the morning of the event. Events of the day include an 8 hour paintball tournament, great food donated by the Carolina Ale House, and a raffle, all to benefit SC children with cancer and their families.

 

Samantha Higgins, PR Director for Children’s Chance explains, “We are so excited to be involved with TriggerTyme to hold the first ever charity paintball tournament to help children in the palmetto state who are fighting cancer! This unique event will not only be a fun-filled day thanks to our many sponsors and supporters but will be such a meaningful fundraiser to help families in South Carolina who are dealing with pediatric cancer. We hope to make this a signature event to continue helping families in need”.

 

Registration for the tournament is $35.00 per person. Participants will also need to purchase paint which can be done in advance or on-site. Paint is $45.00 per case (that is 2,000 rounds) and can be shared. For registration information, please call 803-254-5996. Children’s Chance is a non-profit organization dedicated to meeting the financial, psychological, and emotional needs of South Carolina children and families affected by pediatric cancer.  Proceeds from the War on Kids Cancer Charity Paintball Tournament will fund a variety of programs including Discretionary Funds which provide financial assistance for non-medical bills, Angel Funds which provide gas and food cards, Counseling, Teen Support Groups, and Special Events, to assist these families during their child’s cancer diagnosis, treatment, and hopefully recovery.  For more information about the First Ever, War on Kids Cancer Charity Paintball Tournament or Children’s Chance, please contact Samantha Higgins at (803) 254-5996 or visit us online at www.childrenschance.org.
