Columbia, SC: September 18th, 2006- On Monday, September 18th, 2006, Pizza Hut will team up with Children’s Chance to host a Children’s Chance Day at over 50 of the restaurants locations throughout South Carolina, donating a portion of the entire day’s proceeds to help children battling cancer and their families.
Samantha Higgins, Public Relations Director of Children’s Chance states, “We are so excited to team up with Pizza Hut during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month to help raise money and awareness for children battling cancer right here in South Carolina. All you have to do is order your lunch or dinner from Pizza Hut and you can help those families in your own community who are dealing with childhood cancer.”
Participating Pizza Hut locations (for a list of locations please log on to www.childrenschance.org and go to the events section to print out a flyer about the event) will donate a portion of the days proceeds to Children’s Chance to help children and families facing pediatric cancer. Tell friends, family, and the community to order from a location near you on September 18th, 2006.
Founded in 1996, Children’s Chance is the only statewide non profit organization that is dedicated to providing children facing cancer and their families with non-medical financial, emotional, and, psychological support. Proceeds from the Children’s Chance Day at Pizza Hut will fund a variety of programs including art therapy, counseling programs, teen support groups, Discretionary funds which help families pay non medical bills such as mortgage or electric payments, and Angel Funds which provide families with small out of pocket expenses to make their trips to the clinic a little easier, such as gas or food cards.
