FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Children’s Chance teams up with Pizza Hut to help Kids with Cancer!
Columbia, SC: September 17h, 2007- On Monday, September 17th, 2007, Pizza Hut will team up with Children’s Chance to host a Children’s Chance Day at over 50 of the restaurants locations throughout South Carolina, donating a portion of the entire day’s proceeds to help children battling cancer and their families.
The Vice President of Pizza Hut explains, "Pizza Hut is proud to support the families of children with cancer. At some time in all of our lives we have been or will be touched by knowing someone with cancer. We are very pleased that we have been asked to help in raising money for the families of children with cancer. This organization helps with the daily needs of the family as they spend time with their child. It helps families to concentrate on what their child needs and we feel that is so important. To go through an illness of this magnitude is so draining on the family and we are so glad that Pizza Hut and our customers can be a part in making a difference in a family’s journey back to health". -Cindy Pannell, Executive Vice President and the Pizza Hut Team
Participating Pizza Hut locations (for a list of locations or to download the flyer, please log on to www.childrenschance.org) will donate a portion of the days proceeds to Children’s Chance to help children and families facing pediatric cancer. Tell friends, family, and the community to order from a location near you on September 17th, 2007.
Founded in 1996, Children’s Chance is the only statewide non profit organization that is dedicated to providing children facing cancer and their families with non-medical financial, emotional, and, psychological support. Proceeds from the Children’s Chance Day at Pizza Hut will fund a variety of programs including art therapy, counseling programs, teen support groups, Discretionary funds which help families pay non medical bills such as mortgage or electric payments, and Angel Funds which provide families with small out of pocket expenses to make their trips to the clinic a little easier, such as gas or food cards.
