Qdoba Mexican Grill, Grand Opening to Benefit Children’s Chance!

For a $5.00 minimum donation receive a great meal and help kids with cancer

 

Columbia, SC: Saturday, March 24, 2007- On Saturday, March 24, 2007, Children’s Chance will team up with Qdoba Mexican Grill to be the charity of choice for the Grand Opening of the new Qdoba Mexican Grill - Garners Ferry Location in the Target Shopping Center from 12 – 8 pm, where they will offer a meal for just a $5.00 minimum donation with all the proceeds from the one day blitz benefiting Children’s Chance to help kids with cancer.

 

Samantha Higgins, Public Relations Director of Children’s Chance states, “We are so excited to team up with the Qdoba Mexican Grill’s first Columbia location to help raise money and awareness for children battling cancer right here in South Carolina. I encourage the community to come out and take advantage of having a great meal for just $5.00 while helping those families in your own community who are dealing with childhood cancer.”

 

Events of the Grand Opening benefit will include an appearance by Cocky, free Face Painting from

12 – 4 pm by Kirki the Clown, a meal for just a $5.00 minimum donation, t-shirts available to purchase for just $5.00 which will give the customer a free drink at Qdoba through December, 2007, not to mention great food and the chance to help children with cancer and their families!

 

Qdoba Mexican Grill combines fresh ingredients with an innovative combination of sauces, salsas and marinades to create non-traditional, fast-casual Mexican fare. Founded in 1996, Children’s Chance is the only statewide non profit organization that is dedicated to providing children facing cancer and their families with non-medical financial, emotional, and, psychological support. Proceeds from the Qdoba Grand Opening Benefit will fund a variety of programs including Art therapy, Counseling, Teen Support Groups, Discretionary funds which help families pay non medical bills such as mortgage or electric payments, and Angel Funds which provide families with small out of pocket expenses to make their trips to the clinic a little easier, such as gas or food cards.
