"Childhood Cancer Awareness Kickoff"

Children's Chance was proud to be a part of the
2006 Childhood Cancer Awareness Kickoff on Friday, August 25th,
2006. The event was held at Palmetto Health Richland in the Warren
Atrium of the Cancer Center and featured stories from families who
have experienced pediatric cancer including Mrs. Thyra Austin and
her father Coach White, Mr. Robert Maddox father to Jess, Janine and
Cooper Bryan, and DeeAnn Jones, mother to Stefen and Executive
Director of Children's Chance.
The event featured a past, present, and future
theme, and was organized by Janine Bryan, mother to Matthew Bryan,
who lost his battle with cancer in 2002. To read more about
