Devon graduated from
Dreher High School in May of 2007 after
she was finally in remission from
cancer. After that, she went on to
accept a band scholarship at SC State
University where she officially became a
bulldog.
Devon's family was
of course very proud of their daughter
and of course wished her nothing but the
best as she embarked on her college
journey.
Unfortunately
several months later, Devon's cancer
came back. She is now fighting the
cancer once again as her family stands
by her side.
The Ferguson's are
grateful to Children's Chance for the
help provided to them along the way and
explain, "Thank you Children's Chance
for all your generosity helping our
family during Devon's cancer treatments.
I can't tell you how much your
organization's contributions are helping
us get through the cost associated with
cancer."
Although the
Ferguson family continue to fight the
battle of Devon's cancer, they have
already won the war by staying together
as a family through a very difficult
time.
UPDATE: Since this story was written,
Devon lost her battle with cancer in
February 2008. She will always be
remembered as a Children's Chance
